Foundations of Play Therapy (Online)

8‑week online foundational play therapy course is designed to meet the Association for Play Therapy (APT) requirements for foundational training
March 21- Ethics in the Playroom
- 8 hours | 9am–6pm
- Location: Outside of the Box Therapy
Participants will explore common ethical dilemmas related to boundaries, confidentiality, mandated reporting, documentation, caregiver involvement, cultural humility, and neurodiversity-affirming practice in this dynamic and interactive workshop. Designed to meet the Association for Play Therapy (APT) requirements.
April 18- Filial Play therapy
- 8 hours | 9am–6pm
- Location- Outside of the Box Therapy
This Filial Play Therapy course is grounded in the foundational work of Drs. Bernard and Louise Guerney and is designed to train clinicians in coaching caregivers to become effective therapeutic agents in their child’s life. Participants will learn the core principles of filial therapy, including child-centered play skills, therapeutic limit-setting, reflective responding, and structuring special playtimes to strengthen attachment, improve emotional regulation, and reduce behavior challenges. Designed to meet the Association for Play Therapy (APT) requirements.
